Draft Vision Statement, Goals, and Objectives

The vision statement captures the values of Fayetteville.  The statement is what Fayetteville’ aspires to be over the next 10 years.

Goals and objectives are required by the West Virginia Code.  Goals and objectives both describe what a community wants to achieve.  However, the time frame and attributes are different.  Goals are general guidelines and are broad, abstract, and long-term.  Objectives are specific and can be measured.  Objectives are steps taken to achieve goals.

The vision statement and goals and objectives were developed using input from the community survey, Planning and Zoning Board, and the public meeting held in December. Please take a moment to review and let us know if you agree with the vision, goals, and objectives or if something is missing.
